Fishing Boats Work our Shoreline

Due to the recent heavy rain and its associated river flow into the sea, there have been numerous fishing boats plying their purse seine nets just offshore. As many as 6 were within 200 yeards of the beach yesterday morning, dredging the bottom for everything alive. It’s a field day for the gulls who swoop down and consume the trash fish that are dumped overboard as the nets are retrieved. It makes you wonder just when they will realize that the fishery is becoming depleted.
