FRIENDS OF BARRON SCHOOL FOUNDATION “Friends of Barron” are residents and guests from Estrella del Mar and Mazatlan who have made a commitment to our neighboring local community of Barron to provide funding for both capital projects for the local schools and scholarships for students so they can continue their education through the final years of their high school education. The School Foundation will be an annual event from now on so we can maintain support for ongoing educational needs. This annual affair is an important means of raising money for the school community. This year, the capital funds will be used to help build a computer lab for the secondary school. Any additional funds will be used for transportation to and from school for the preparatory school students. Scholarships for deserving students will also be made available with any additional monies. For individuals or groups who wish to sponsor a student, profiles will be posted on the internet and will provide choices for the donor. The Foundation will identify deserving students and will facilitate the financing and will monitor student progress.
