Top O’ the Mornin’ to Yers

You guessed it! It’s St Patrick’s Day and I’m fresh out of green beer. I’m sure we can figure out a way to celebrate however. According to Wikipedia, the biggest celebrations outside Dublin are in Downpatrick, County Down, where Saint Patrick is rumoured to be buried following his death on 17 March, 461. In 2004, according to the Down District  Council, the week-long St. Patrick’s Festival had over 2,000 participants and 82 floats, bands, and performers, and was watched by over 30,000 people. The shortest St Patrick’s Day parade in the world takes place in Dripsey, Cork. The parade lasts just 100 yards and travels between the villages’ two pubs. Now that’s my kind of parade! I have it! Let’s all parade to the clubhouse at 5 and have ourselves some green beer! Wear your green and we’ll leave right after Spanish Class on my patio.

Weather should be similar to yesterday and tomorrow and the day after.  Cool in the mornings, windy in the afternoons. Sunny too, although the Weather Channel insists it will only be partly sunny. After a while, you have got to ask yourself, “What’s the diff?”
