Word for the Day

PILA – (pi.la) 1. basin, trough. 2. font, especial a baptismal font. 3. pile, heap.  4. pilaster pile, pier. 4. dry cell battery.

Did you know that Kiki will recycle your dead dry cell batteries?  He has a box in his office labeled “pilas”. Just drop those old, dead batteries in there and they will be safely recycled. Never, never throw a battery away. As it degrades in a landfill, it will release deadly chemicals. There are also battery recycling boxes in the airport, of all places. Just look for our word of the day….. PILAS!!
