Mazatlan. The President of the nation, Enrique Peña Nieto, said goodbye to Mazatlan in the early hours of Sunday along with his family and a group of friends, after meeting with the tuna entrepreneur José Eduvigildo Carranza Beltrán, Estrella de Mar resort.
The arrival of the President Enrique Peña Nieto to Mazatlan on Saturday afternoon represented his sixth visit, though not in an official way, since the federal executive enjoyed the resort, rested and played golf, and was even served by a renowned restaurant in Villa Union seafood, to enjoy the gastronomy Mazatlan.
The sixth visit by Peña Nieto mobilized a strong deployment of security, with federal, military elements and the Navy, all of them coordinated by the Estado Mayor Presidencial, where he guarded the perimeter of the resort where they made Pena Nieti safe with his family.
Peña Nieto turned on his presidential plane from dawn yesterday to Baja California Sur, to continue enjoying the long weekend, with the promise to comply with what the private initiative in Mazatlan claims from 2014: the modernization of the port.
